Well, whouldathunkit? So many of you would find my blog the very first day, and wish me well on my gentleman/boy–heh–friend.
We’ve actually been seeing each other for a very long time now. He gave me a gorgeous amethyst heart shaped pendant set in white gold and surrounded by diamonds for Christmas. Ahem. Said it’s to remind me I have his heart. I thought, perhaps, it was my purple heart since I’m so doggone accident prone!
At any rate, since so many of you have found this old widow out, I guess I should post a photo of my guy. So here he is.
Meet Marty, world–ready or not.
Love,

Consensus is I should call Marty my “honey.” Yes…? It does sound better than “boyfriend” or “gentleman friend” at our age.
Thoughts…?

Isn’t that a great generic title? Works for many types and ages of couples. Okay, it started because my mother couldn’t remember the names of my friend’s rotating boyfriends. Sill, it works.

Honey? Absolutely! It’s what my parents always called each other and my favorite.
The other is “sweetheart” and I think Marty stated so with the amethyst heart. Of course there may be something to the ‘accident’ scenario, isn’t amethyst known for healing?
Cheers!

The amethyst heart sounds beautiful, Deb. And I like “honey” for Marty, too. He is sweet.
