So many of you are waiting for The Gift, including me.
This is the book I sold while my late husband was dying, and it has taken months–okay, years now–for me to get back to writing in a meaningful way. Being creative while in mourning is an entirely new ballgame. Friends–other authors who’ve lost their heroes–warned me my process would change. Wow, where they right!
This past fall, I finally started making real progress again, and saw the light at the end of the tunnel, so to speak. Then Fate intervened again when I suffered multiple pelvic fractures. Ouch! It’s taking months to recover, but I’m once again plodding along on this project. If nothing else, I am one stubborn writer, and I’m also blessed with the world’s most patient editor and agent, and wonderfully loyal readers. ::smooch::
There’s a reason my late husband often said we should have had Cat Stevens’ “Hard-Headed Woman” played at our wedding….
